Visit to the Nutritionist
I went with Sue to her nutritionist appointment last week and learned a couple of points that I thought I should share.
1. Avoid corn products in all forms. Corn coverts to fat all too easily – that’s why they use it to feed cattle and hogs. So avoid corn chips, corn flour, corn syrup, and just plain corn to name a few.
2. Try to use organic dairy products whenever possible so you aren’t getting the antibiotics or growth hormones.

I just visited the government’s website that promotes weight loss and better health. Was so disappointed with their recipes. Didn’t find much that is going to help me. Plus they only have ten recipes listed. Pretty feeble but better than nothing. Visit www.smallstep.gov

Breakfast is Boring
Just about everyday I eat oatmeal with 1/2 a banana on top. Oh how dull this is getting – I’ve been doing this since March and it’s getting rather stale. But the good result is that I’m down another pound, making the total loss at 15, plus my arteries must be so much happier now that I’m not eating an egg with toast and ‘butter’ everyday.
Now if only I can lose another 5 pounds, I will celebrate big time.

Weight Loss
I’ve learned that I really have to focus on having the right food on hand in order to lose weight. As soon as I start eating bread or snacking on chips, I plateau. So right now, for another 5 pounds, I need to get back to fixing soups and salads and keeping those bad carbs and fats out of my sight.
